This Privacy Policy explains what information Qibto collects, why it is collected, how it is used and who it is given to. It applies to the website qibto.com and to the two Android apps Qibto (for customers who learn driving) and Qibto Driver (for the trainers / drivers of our partner driving schools).

By using the website or the apps you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

1. Information we collect

Qibto (customer app and website)

• Account details: name, e-mail address, mobile number and password (the password is stored in protected form, never as plain text).
• Booking details: the plan, dates and times you choose, and your pickup address with its point on the map.
• Location: the pickup point you select. If you allow it, your device's location is used to help you set that point.
• Payment details: payments are handled by our payment partner Razorpay. We receive the payment status, amount and reference number. We do not receive or store your card, UPI or bank details.
• Ride-sharing contacts: if you use "Share ride", the e-mail addresses or numbers you enter, so that the people you chose can follow your lesson.
• Notification token: a device token from Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, used only to send you notifications about your lessons.
• Feedback you give about a lesson.

Qibto Driver (trainer app)

• Account details: the trainer's account is created by the driving school or by Qibto. It holds name, e-mail address, mobile numbers, address, gender, date of birth and driving-licence expiry date. The trainer can view and correct these details in the app.
• Location, including in the background: while a lesson is in progress the app collects the phone's precise location and sends it to our server, even when the app is closed or not in use, so that the customer can see the training car on the map and the route, distance and duration of the lesson can be recorded. Location collection starts when the trainer starts a lesson and stops when the lesson ends. No location is collected outside a lesson.

The apps do not read your contacts, photos, files, messages or call history, and they contain no advertising.

2. How we use the information

• to create and manage your account and let you log in;
• to arrange lessons: assign a driving school and trainer, and show the trainer where to pick the customer up;
• to show the customer the live position of the training car and to keep a record of each lesson;
• to take payments and issue receipts;
• to send notifications, one-time passwords and service messages about your lessons;
• to answer support requests, prevent misuse and meet legal duties.

We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Security

All information travels between the apps, the website and our servers over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to our systems is limited to authorised staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

5. How long we keep it

We keep account and lesson information for as long as the account is in use and afterwards for as long as the law requires (for example payment records). Information that is no longer needed is deleted.

6. Your choices and rights

• You can see and correct your profile details in the app or on the website.
• You can switch location and notification permissions off in your phone's settings. A trainer cannot run a lesson without location permission.
• Deleting your account and data: write to Support@qibto.com from your registered e-mail address. We delete the account and the personal information linked to it, except what we must keep by law.

7. Children

Our services are for persons aged 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The new version is published on this page.
